Rugby star breaks into RGC senior squad
Rugby sensation Efan Jones had another tremendous term as he looks to establish himself in the senior game.
The scrum half enhanced his growing reputation by scoring his first ever try for RGC 1404 in their 28-16 Swalec Championship victory at Newcastle Emlyn in October.
The Wales U18 international recently presented one of his international shirts to Mr Boyd as a memento, with Efan coming through the ranks via our Rugby Academy.
Mr Boyd, said: “Efan has worked incredibly hard on his game since over the last number of years and it is fantastic to see him getting the rewards he deserves.
“It is a remarkable testament to Efan that he has been selected for this squad whilst still at school.
“He is following in footsteps of former 1st XV player Danny Cross who was selected to play for Wales U20 last season before moving on to Bangor University.
“Both players are products of the Rugby Academy and have also benefited from our very close links with RGC 1404 and have now progressed through to their senior squad.”
