Young Performers' praised
Arthur Hind
Talented musicians have been praised for their efforts at their first concert of the year.
A host of gifted pupils took part in the Young Performers’ Concert, which was held at St John’s on Tuesday, October 11.
Alicia Zhou and Arthur Hind kicked off the concert with separate piano and voice pieces, and they were followed by superb singing solos from Zahra Shamsi and National Eisteddfod winner Tegid Goodman-Jones.
Lower sixth pupil Emily Li performed Little Cowboy on the Chinese bamboo flute, while Emily Osbourne gave a stunning performance of Good Grief.
The gifted duo of Nick Dundee and Vincent Kohm paired up for a special duet, and guitarist Alex Roberts brought an element of rock and roll to the concert with a rendition of Freightshaker.
Further piano performances came from Niamh Cook, Nicholas Riding and the amazing Bijou and Juan Rajagopal.
