School hosts Red Nose Day
The school held a special fancy dress day in aid of Comic Relief, where they joined thousands of others across the country in raising much-needed funds for the long-standing initiative.
The theme was Superheroes and Villains, and pupils once again made a fabulous effort for the worthy cause, which has raised more than £71 million for worthy causes both at home and abroad.
Everyone from Sherlock Holmes to Buzz Lightyear featured prominently, while Upper Sixth pupil Jack Sissons looked the part dressing as his father and chaplain the Reverend Nick Sissons.
A host of fundraising events took part throughout the day, including a cake sale, joke book and musical chairs.
This is the latest in a long line of charity days held at Rydal Penrhos throughout the year, which contribute to both regional and local causes.
Mr Cashell, said: “Our fantastic pupils always make a wonderful effort when it comes to raising money, and this was once again evident at this year’s Red Nose Day.
“Our charity committee do a fantastic job of coming up with fun-filled things to ignite the interest of the whole school, and congratulations go to each and every one of them for making the day a success.”
