Textiles and Photography exam praise
Photography and Textiles pupils at produced some stunning pieces as part of their mock exam recently.
The A-level group took part in the two-day mock assessment on Thursday, April 27 and Friday 28, where they worked hard on trying out ideas and techniques ahead of their actual exam later this year.
Sanjita Kumar spent the process finger knitting, weaving and burning fabric in order to make some translucent jelly fish in fabric.
She finished the exam with a small mock-up of a hanging piece where she intends to have the fabric jelly fish hanging below a woven sea with lights attached.
Lily Walsh made a huge electric pylon out of bamboo and straws which she will attach photographs to for her photography exam. Her intention is to take this out in to the landscape and photograph it next to real pylons to create something strange and confusing.
Louis Delve has been setting photographs in resin and is not sure yet if these will be exhibited in a light box or perhaps just hanging in a window. He has also been putting images together using acetate and combining images of ink in water with resin.
