It definitely teaches you how to improve your teamwork and communication with every player, and it also helps with your reflexes and reactions which you need if you are going to be a success.
We do practice a lot and it probably averages out at about four times a week, which we love!
It ranges depending on position really. We have some players that stay in one position and others who are comfortable switching, so it is good to have that balance and ability to adapt.
We tend to see in training who is best where and then positions are decided before each match.
Our coach is the amazing Mrs (Jude) Pyves. She has done such a good job with us.
The netball season has now come to an end so we don’t have any more fixtures, although we are still meeting up to train. We are concentrating on Athletics and Rounders for the rest of term which is a lot of fun.
Yes, it was an amazing experience and everyone did so well against some very strong teams. No Rydal Penrhos team had ever made the quarter finals before and we did brilliantly to reach a new school record.
