Swiss work experience honour for pupil
Eddie Farrell travelled to a medical device factory near Geneva, Switzerland for his work experience, where his work experience explored all areas of life at the factory and gained valuable knowledge that will stand him in good stead for the future.
The factory uses highly automated technology and robotics to produce the product, and a full range of educational skills are employed at the establishment from biochemists, to engineers, to business and finance professionals.
The 15-year-old took part in a number of tasks during the week, including helping the engineering and manufacturing teams to prepare material for projects to improve the manufacturing process.
Eddie is one of many pupils that have taken work placements across the country and beyond as part of the initiative, which has also seen pupils across all year groups take part in a wide range of fun-filled as testing tasks to round off the academic year.
Mr Cashell, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for Eddie to learn more about this specific field, and I am sure that the whole experience will be of great benefit to him as he progresses through his education.
“He is a very driven pupil that has achieved an enormous amount in various areas of school life, and we are incredibly excited to see what he can accomplish in the future.”
