Enhancing learning in stunning location
The Prep-Prep pupils' made the short journey to Colwyn Bay beach on Thursday, June 29, where they took part in a variety of activities despite the adverse weather conditions.
They carved out their own names in the sand, worked together to build giant sandcastles and played on the activity area near the Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias bistro.
This is the latest in a series of activities for the pupils, who recently spent the day at Greenwood Forest Park and explored the various wildlife at Pili Palas.
Mr McDuff, said: “The beach trip is a long standing tradition for out Pre-Prep pupils here at Rydal Penrhos, and it is great that they get to have plenty of fun outside of the classroom ahead of the end of the academic year.
“We are very fortunate to be situated just a stone’s throw away from the stunning North Wales coastline, and we always do our best to ensure that we maximise its use throughout the year.
“They do not let a little thing like rain stop them from having fun, and this is a testament to the motivation of our staff and the happy environment they provide whatever the weather.”
The Pre-Prep group also took a trip to Greenwood Forest Park in Y Felinheli on Friday, June 23, where they took part in a host of fun-filled activities throughout their stay.
Thrillseeking pupils rode the slides at the attraction’s Tree Top Towers, while they were also able to enjoy a trip along the river in their Jungle Boats.
The adventure playground proved to be another popular place on the visit, and the crocodile maze, rabbit village and donkey rides all ensured the pupils left Greenwood with huge smiles on their faces.
Mr McDuff, said: “We are very fortunate to have somewhere like Greenwood Forest Park right on our doorstep, and we would like to thank everyone there for making us feel so welcome.
“This is the latest in a great many trips that our pupils have enjoyed this year, which gives them the perfect chance to bond with their classmates in an educational environment outside of the school.”
