Choir shines at Venue Cymru
The Year 5 and 6 choir took the stage at Venue Cymru as part of their Prom Praise concert, which was held on Saturday, June 24.
The showcase, which was headlined by global sensations the All Souls Orchestra and lead conductor Noel Tredinnick, featured a number of prominent acts including Welsh Soprano Katy Treharne, who brought with her a wealth of experience on the West End stage.
Harpist Rachel Davies was another that gave an outstanding performance, and internationally-renowned singer, songwriter and author Stuart Townend also wowed the crowds.
The choir featured prominently throughout the showcase and delivered an accomplished performance, which was thanks in no small part to their hard work during rehearsals under the guidance of Music teacher Mr Davies and Professor Tredinnick.
Mr Williams, said: “To be invited to perform at such a prestigious event was a huge honour for our Prep School pupils, and they all emerged from the concert with an enormous amount of credit.
“They worked immensely hard in the lead-up to Prom Praise during a series of rehearsals, where they honed their vocals with the help of lead conductor Noel, and we are grateful for him for giving up his time to ensure that our pupils were fully prepared for their appearance.
“Each choir member did themselves and the school proud and I am sure they are going to look back on this experience with a great sense of pride.”
