2017-18 team announced
We are delighted to announce our Peer Mentor team for the current academic year.
After hopefuls went through an assessment process to judge their suitability for the role, a group of 23 have been selected by staff members.
The team will be on hand to lend support to younger members of the school community throughout the year, in addition to offering advice on any other matters they may need assistance with.
They will also be present at a large number of specially organised events for Year 7 pupils, designed to improve confidence, group cohesion and team spirit within the group.
Mili Jayadeep, Elysia Gilman, Finn Batley, Deputy Head Girl Olivia Rogerson, Emily Cashell, Sam Randall, Jenny Johnson, Carmia Kendall, Sammy Sherrington, Sara Owen, Jess Maudsley, Daniel Pearce are the Upper Sixth Form pupils that have been handed the responsibility after impressing during the trial period.
Lower Sixth Form pupils are also well represented with Ewan Luke, Nick Fiorita, Miles Poller, Grace Ormerod, Rafeez Mortuza, Caitlin Teece, Sean Hughes, Mia Lynch, Gowri Pradeep and Imogen Camp accepting positions.
Mr Cashell, said: “Our Peer Mentor initiative is something that is hugely beneficial to our younger pupils as they look to establish themselves within our Senior School, and it is wonderful to see so many Sixth Form pupils showing an interest this year.
“Mr Smith has outlined ‘Leading’ as one of his five key tenets for building a successful all-round education, and the role is one that each of our pupils take a great deal of pride in which should ensure the scheme goes from strength-to-strength in the coming months.”
