Group take in comedy on learning trip
The Lower Sixth Drama group travelled to The Lowry Theatre in Salford, where they took in the comedy How the Other Half Loves on the latest step of its national tour.
This is the first in a long line of educational trips put on by the department, which have been implemented to allow those studying Drama to get useful tips on stage performance from experienced professionals.
Another highly recognisable face was Charlie Brooks, who played villain Janine Bitcher in the BBC soap Eastenders.
The all-star cast consisted of Robert Daws, Caroline Langrishe and the Bafta-nominated Matthew Cottle, and the Alan Ayckbourn comedy is described as “ a hilarious tale of matrimonial mishaps and London’s funniest comedy of 2016”.
It revolves around the story of Bob and Fiona, who clumsily try to cover up their affair and their spouses’ intervention only adds to the confusion.
Mrs Crimes, said: “How the Other Half Loves was an absolute triumph and the actors were magnificent.”
