University visit for recruitment afternoon
Representatives from Cardiff Metropolitan University visited the school as part of their North Wales recruitment afternoon.
During the event, which also saw pupils from Ysgol Eirias, Ysgol Bryn Elian and Coleg Llandrillo in attendance, the South Walian team discussed a number of important topics surrounding sporting options at the establishment, in addition to their career specific courses which have been recently introduced.
They also spoke about the benefits of taking a sport-related degree, the extra-curricular activities that the university provides and optional additional qualifications that are made available.
The presentation followed a netball master class from national captain and former pupil Suzy Drane, with the Celtic Dragons standout passing on her expertise to young hopefuls during the session.
Mr Boyd, said: “It was great to welcome Cardiff Met University here to for what was a very worthwhile afternoon for our Sixth Form and Year 11 pupils.
“It is never too early to start planning the next step of your education, and events like this are a very good way of gathering as much information as possible before making what is a very important decision.”
