Pupils dress up for charity
We held a Dahlicious Dress Up Day on Friday, September 15, which was held as part of the Roald Dahl Day celebrations taking place across the country.
There were a host of fantastic costumes featuring characters from the author’s most recognisable books, with pupils’ across all age groups transforming into well-known figures including Willy Wonka, a Giant Peach and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Some of the more usual costumes were a Giant Peach, a Cavewoman, a Dragon and a Chimneysweep.
All proceeds from the day will be donated to the Roald Dahl Marvellous Children's Charity, which helps to make life better for seriously ill children throughout the UK.
Mrs Hind, said: “Our pupils do a wonderful job of really getting into the spirit of each occasion such as this, and this was evident once again with the superb costumes that brought colour and creativity.
“Roald Dahl is still much-loved by children thanks to his timeless tales, and events such as this will ensure that his wonderfully storytelling gift will live through the ages."
