Hundreds raised for Ty Gobaith
More than £800 was raised for a Conwy children’s hospice from our annual Christmas Market.
The school hosted the third annual extravaganza on Friday, December 8, and it was organised by a charity committee consisting of Sixth Form pupils in aid of Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice in Conwy.
There was a huge turnout of pupils, staff and members of the public, with plenty to enjoy throughout the three-hour event.
A host of stalls were on offer in the Memorial Hall, with everything you could need for a last minute Christmas gift for a friend or loved one.
In addition there was also a Santa’s Grotto, with Head of Design and Technology Phil Sutton playing the role of Father Christmas for the evening.
The market was kept entertained throughout by the Rydal Penrhos band, which consisted of staff and pupils who played festive songs to keep people entertained.
The total was aided by the Friends of Rydal Penrhos Committee, who organised a special raffle at the market featuring a number of superb prizes.
Mr Cashell, said: “This takes out total to more than £3,000 from the three Christmas Markets we have held in aid of Ty Gobaith, which is a truly outstanding effort by our Sixth Form Charity Committee."
