Arran gets Lancs' nod for India tour
Arran Sen has been selected to the county’s U13 performance squad that will travel to Mumbai, India for a special tour in February after impressing throughout the assessment process.
Paul Allott, director of cricket at Lancashire, said: “We aim to develop more than just cricketers – we want to see our boys and girls emerging through the pathway as durable, well-rounded, resourceful and broad minded, capable of adapting to challenging conditions and finding a way to succeed.”
In addition to a series of fixtures and an intense training schedule, the Lancashire squad will be working with Project Front Foot and the Dharavi Cricket Academy, where they will spend time coaching children associated with the scheme. This is the latest in a series of achievements from the sports scholar and boarding pupil, who has gone from strength-to-strength since joining Rydal Penrhos last year and achieved a wealth of accolades during his first year at the school.
He quickly established himself as a first XI mainstay despite his tender age, and won the Spirit of Cricket Award for his polished performance during Rydal Penrhos’ annual fixture against Marylebone Cricket Club.
