Sixth Form hold awareness assembly
Rydal Penrhos’ Health and Wellbeing Committee spoke in front of the entire senior school on Thursday, February 6 on the importance of Time to Talk Day.
Head Girl Millie Collins, Head Boy Ioan Peake-Jones, Harry Hackman, Tallulah Batley, Cerys Cuddihy, Richard Wolfendale, Bijou Rajagopal and Sydney Van Den Broeck spoke about the significance of Time to Talk and urged those who are having problems to speak with their peers, to older members of the Rydal Penrhos community or teaching staff.
A video was shown surrounding the campaign, which promotes talking honestly and openly about mental health issues.
Rydal Penrhos has strong pastoral structures within the school, with the additional layer of support provided by school counsellor, Tracey Boothby.
Reverend Nick Sissons also lends a key support from a spiritual, emotional and pastoral perspective, with Alison Hind overseeing this framework as Head of Pastoral Care.
