Cameron makes Wales squad
Cameron Shaw has earned a call-up to the Welsh Triathlon squad for the second consecutive year.
This represents a significant accomplishment from the teenager, who has secured a wealth of outstanding successes in a competitive environment over the campaign.
A standout showing at the Urdd National Swimming Gala saw Cameron defy the odds in the 100-metre freestyle race to claim a silver medal, and he recently secured qualification to the Welsh Schools’ Cross-Country Championships following a superb performance at the Eryri qualifier.
Cameron ended the season on a high with two notable victories at the Aberystwyth Junior Triathlon last month, and he followed this up by crossing the line first at the Chester Junior Triathlon.
He will join up with other senior squad members this week at a training camp to develop their skills further.
