Foreword from the Head
We announced our ambitious development plan that will see all areas of the school receive a considerable upgrade with substantial investment.
This comes following extensive planning and we are all excited to see the plans gather pace in the coming months.
Our Speech and Drama provision held a hilarious Comedy Night that was a real showcase of acting ability. Well done to all pupils involved and enormous thanks must, of course, go to Mrs Bloomfield, who nurtures the pupils and encourages them to give of their best.
Joint Deputy Head girl, Tallulah Batley, attained her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, after successfully completing the assessment process, and she will now go to St James’s Palace later this year to collect her accolade.
The Golf Academy programme continues to go from strength-to-strength with a number of national achievements, with Rydal Penrhos recognised as the top independent golfing school in the country. They will represent Wales at the ISGA Home Internationals competition and we wish the team the very best of luck.
The school’s new Peer Mentor team have already made a lasting impression in their new roles as they assist younger pupils with support and guidance, and the Time to Talk Assembly gave a strong message regarding the importance of wellbeing and mental health in education.
Our Combined Cadet Force initiative continues to thrive, with a number of exciting activities, with each pupil getting a tremendous amount out of the experience to date. Planning is now well underway for the Summer Camp.
We are all now looking ahead to next term, with some high-profile events; Speech Day, Sports Day and the Junior Drama Club production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, to name but a few. All of these opportunities would not be possible without the tireless commitment of our teaching and support staff, who go above and beyond the call of duty to give our pupils the best education possible.
