Grade 8 clarinet distinction for Niamh
Niamh Cook recently sat her Grade 8 clarinet examination after months of hard work, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The teenager produced an incredible performance in front of adjudicators to secure a Distinction as a result of her outstanding effort, scoring an exceptional 132 out of a possible 150 marks.
This is the second time that Niamh has attained Grade 8 distinction relating to a particular instrument, with the pupil also boasting a piano certificate at the same level of difficulty.
The Sixth Former, who is also an immensely gifted Artist, will now start on her ABRSM clarinet diploma in the hope of securing further achievements in a musical environment. She is also studying for her ABRSM piano diploma in addition to her A Level commitments, working alongside Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff team to reach her goals.
